Description of this Book A hilarious illustrated novel by Peter Hannan — writer, artist, & producer. Davis Delaware is not from Delaware. But try telling that to everyone at his new school. When you move in the middle of ninth grade, people are going to think whatever they want about you. If they pay attention at all. Blending in is fine with Davis. He just wants to doodle in his notebook. Make a few friends. Not rock the boat. Easier said than done. Because when he starts a band called The Amazing Dweebs with beautiful Molly and nerdy Edwin, Davis rocks the boat big-time. And all that rocking gets the attention of school bully Gerald the Butcher Boggs. Now Davis is suddenly king of the school — and the Butcher’s next target. This can’t end well. This illustrated middle-grade novel from CATDOG creator Peter Hannan is packed with doodles, song lyrics, notebook pages, a mini flip book — and lots of laughs.
Peter Hannan is the creator of the extremely successful CATDOG animated series on Nickelodeon. He oversaw all stages of production, and even sang the show’s theme song! Peter has been in licensing for many years, and his wit, creativity, and commercial sensibility are unmatched. He is also the author and illustrator of the Super Goofballs series for HarperCollins. He lives in California.
Praise for Peter Hannan:”The creator of Nickelodeon’s CatDog sets his Super Goofballs series into super silly, sophomoric motion, starring characters with names that tell readers all they need to know….Hannan’s copious cartoons chronicle these zany antics….”–Publishers Weekly review of Super Goofballs #1
From My Big Mouth: 10 Songs I Wrote That Almost Got Me Killed In this new school, in a new townm Molly and Edwin only knew I had been in a band. That was technically true, but it was the school band and my instrument was the bassoon. The bassoon is the compelte opposite of the guitar—a chick anti-magnet. Girls are instantly replled into space if they came within twenty feet of a basson—blowing baffoon. From that day forward, when it comes to the bassoonist, those girls permanently reside on Planet Bug Off, Dimwit. I did play the guitar a little. Just not in a band. And not outside my room. But it turned out that my new bandmates were even worse. So I was in a bad band. But it was the bad band that Molly was in.
